Hello! My name is Luke Swetnam - I am a Technology Enthusiast, I built my first computer when I was thirteen, and have wanted to work with them professionally since I was ten.
My interest wasn't on any one topic, throughout the years I have spent countless hours learning to code, things like HTML, CSS, PHP, Linux Bash(SH), Windows Bash, Python, C++, C#...
I never mastered them, but I got to the point where I comfortable using them, I spent even more hours learning the ends and outs of Windows and Linux based systems, then drawing my attention to Server Management, IPTables, Cyber Security, VPNs. I worked on many small projects and websites, securing their backend servers with 2factor authentication and strict packet filtering, working as technical support for their customers, and custom coding shell scripts for server automation and security.
After all of that, I started getting into the world of photography, videography and drones, using professional grade equipment I began to work on creating a service that would focus on quality affordability, and customer satisfaction.
From low altitudes to high altitutdes, there is no angle I cannot capture!
Stable 4k video's that can make anything look eautiful and Cinematic.
2018 - 2019 | RootPrivacy/AffordVPN
RootPrivacy/AffordVPN was more of a project than a company, I had done a lot of research on VPNs over the past year and began to run my own servers, I found that self-hosting allowed for faster speeds, better privacy, better security, and cheaper. So, a friend and I began to work together to sell access to the servers, we custom coded an entire website, while he worked on setting up the database and began developing a layout, I worked on securing our backend and VPN servers, after that, I wrote a shell script that would allow VPN profiles to automatically be generated and sent to our main server for users to be able to easily download and connect to them, then wrote a Windows Bash connection manager/auto downloader, & Disconnect Detector, I then cross-coded them to shell so they could run on Mac/Linux as well. We socketed all the VPN servers to our main website and began working on security testing, PHP sanitizing, SSH Security, User Encryption, etc; After that I went back and helped him finish with all of the HTML and PHP, after about a month of work we had created a fully-functioning service, but it was hard to gain users because there was so much competition, and we eventually decided to shut our project down. But in the end, it was an amazing learning experience, and we were extremely satisfied with what we had made.
I could describe these conceptions, also impress upon paper all that is living.
